November 3, 2020 (Ezega.com) -- War broke out between Ethiopia’s federal government and Tigray region after the regional government attacked military camp housing federal troops in the region, Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed announced.
In a recorded video message, Abiy said the Tigray People Liberation Front (TPLF) on Tuesday night attacked a military camp, killing several soldiers and destroying military equipment.
According to the Premier, TPLF also launched attacks in Mekele and other places of the region as well as in the Dalshah area bordering the Amhara region but shielded.

Briefing journalists on Monday, Debretsion accused the federal government of transforming political and economic pressures into forceful measures against the regional government.
Accordingly, he called on the people of the region to stand in unison to defend the possible attack from the federal government.

- EU Begins Mediation between TPLF, Federal Government

November 1, 2020 (Ezega.com) -- European Union reportedly began the mediation process between Ethiopia’s Tigray region and the federal government in an attempt to pull them from the brink of war over deepening political disputes.

October 21, 2020 (Ezega.com) -- At least 12 civilians have been killed and others wounded when unidentified gunmen attacked farming villages in southern Ethiopia, according to local officials.
The attackers killed 12 farmers and wounded five others in a surprise attack in Shubi locality- Gura Ferda district in Bench Sheko zone, Commander of the Gura Ferda District Police Bekele Beyene told local media.

October 14, 2020 (Ezega.com) -- The alleged killer of a prominent Ethiopian Oromo singer, Tilahun Yami, has pleaded not guilty, Ezega.com has learned.
Two months ago, Tilahun pleaded guilty that he had killed the singer Hachalu Hundessa whose death sparked ethnic unrest that left at least 200 people dead in late June and early July.
The Oromia police chief said 145 civilians and 11 security personnel died in Oromia region alone after the singer’s death. Ten people were killed in the capital Addis Ababa.
